On the one hand, this increases energy efficiency and minimises emissions, but also creates an environment with a better quality of life when working.

That's how a career works: From apprentice to production manager
"Head of Mechanical Engineering Production" is Norbert Jöst's job title. As if that were not enough work, he is also responsible for training mechanics and mechatronics. This work well because Jöst himself started his career almost 40 years ago as an apprentice at Poly-clip System. The company did not let him go, even during a family-related sabbatical. During this phase, he also worked as a freelancer for the clipping machine specialist – to eventually return to Poly-clip System altogether. He believes in sound training and the promotion of young talent. The company, which stands for Excellence in Clipping, needs and wants "the good ones" – and therefore promotes them accordingly. For example, by contributing financially to master classes or courses of study, or by offering to continue working in the old department during the semester break. "Talented employees who want to get involved and develop will get ahead at Poly-clip System," says Norbert Jöst. His career with the global market leader is proof that this is true.
From colleague to manager: With vigour and a great team
"I am a practical person," says Alexandra Akman, who manages the spare parts department at Poly-clip System. With her energy, she already impressed as a 16-year-old apprentice at the clipping machine manufacturer. In any case, after graduating as an industrial clerk, she continued in internal sales. When she was offered the opportunity to co-organise the International Poly-clip Conference (IPC) – which brings together sales managers and managing directors from all agencies worldwide every three years – she didn't hesitate for a second. "This opportunity came at the right time. I like to organise things and I need challenges." She mastered challenges of a completely different kind during her two parental leaves before returning to the office part-time in 2017. In this situation, Poly-clip System offered her a management position: the management of the spare parts department with a team of 12 employees. "I was very much aware that this would be a challenge. And I am still learning every day. But I can shape processes and take responsibility, and this really suits me." With her energy and her team – employees who, like her, have been working at Poly-clip System for more than 20 years and each of whom has a great deal of knowledge – Alexandra Akman has mastered the path from trainee and colleague to manager.
